The Senior Architectural BIM Specialist is a key member of Transwall's Architectural Engineering & Technologies (AET) team, serving as the lead Revit and BIM expert responsible for creating project drawings, developing and maintaining architect-friendly BIM content, and advancing Revit best practices across the organization. Working closely with Engineering and cross-functional teams, this role translates product information into industry-leading BIM resources while ensuring Transwall's Revit library remains accurate, current, and aligned with evolving industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Project Drawing Production & Support
- Create detailed drawing packages, elevations, plans, and technical documentation based on architectural and design space plans.
- Prepare product take-offs, bills of materials, and identify deviations between contract documents and shop drawings.
- Manage project submittals and ensure drawing accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Provide technical product expertise and guidance on product applications, design standards, and best practices across the organization.
- Collaborate with clients, Sales, Project Management, and Engineering teams to deliver accurate and successful project outcomes.
BIM & Revit Content Management
- Develop, maintain, and organize Transwall's internal and external Revit family library.
- Creation and maintenance of Autodesk Revit families for current and new products for both internal and A&D use
Revit Leadership & Support
- Support fellow AET Team members with Revit software inquiries
- Create and maintain BIM standards, documentation, and user guides.
- Identify opportunities to improve drawing efficiency, consistency, and BIM adoption.
Requirements
- Highly organized self-starter and independent worker
- Good communication skills with all levels of the organization
- Detail oriented. Able to produce consistent and highly accurate deliverables
- Creative problem-solving ability
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Possible limited overnight travel
Qualifications
- Architectural / Engineering / Design degree or equivalent level of experience
- 5+ years of professional experience producing native Revit Families and 3D Modeling
- Advanced Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and computer skills.
- Strong understanding of BIM workflows, standards, and architectural documentation.
- Architectural glazing systems, demountable floor-to-ceiling wall products experience desired
- Able to read and understand architectural drawing packages and bid specifications including door and hardware schedules
- Familiar with structural and environmental (reflected ceilings, lighting, sprinklers, and HVAC) building systems
- Knowledge of ADA (American Disabilities Act) guidelines as applies to building design
